Human Resource Director

New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) seeks an experienced Human Resources professional to fill the newly created position of Human Resources Director.   The HR Director is responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of NHPR’s human resources activities: personnel policies and practices; hiring and retention; and compliance and reporting.  This position will work with management, in the context of the station’s strategic plan, to develop and implement an annual program of goal-setting, professional development and performance evaluation to encourage productivity, innovation, accountability and collaboration.

The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of HR generalist experience, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, effective oral and written communication skills, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employee benefits and HR-related compliance. Additionally, this position requires someone with confident presentation ability, who thrives in a team orientation and is a strategic thinker.

PHR certification required, SPHR certification preferred.
